How do I install the Gmail Add-on?
Follow the steps below to install our Gmail Add-on.
Note: If you are using G Suite, you may choose to do a domain-wide install of the Gmail add-on. To do so, follow the instructions here instead.
Open the G Suite Marketplace page for our Gmail Add-on.
Click the INSTALL button. This will trigger a confirmation dialog.
Click the CONTINUE button. This will trigger an account picker.
Click the account you wish to use and the add-on should now be installed!
Open any email within Gmail to see the add-on. The add-on is only displayed when looking at a specific email. It is not shown when looking at a folder of emails (ie. the Inbox or Sent folders).
Note: If you're using Gmail on the desktop, you might need close the Gmail tab/window and open it again otherwise the newly installed add-on will not appear.
On the web version of Gmail, add-ons appear on the right side of the screen. Click on the shopping cart icon to open the add-on.
On the mobile version of Gmail, add-ons appear at the bottom of the email so you'll need to scroll all the way down to the bottom to see it. Click on the shopping cart icon to open the add-on.
You'll be asked to login to your Google account on merchantmail.app. This is necessary to confirm that our Gmail Add-on is allowed to access your account. Click the Proceed button to continue.
A new window will open that asks you to login to your Google account on merchantmail.app. It may seem odd to have to login in a second time, but this is required for maximum security. Click on the name of your Google account to proceed.
At this point, you should be able to start using the add-on. The image below shows a properly configured add-on. If the Gmail Add-on still shows the message asking you to sign into Google account on merchantmail.app, try looking at a different email or restarting Gmail.
