Why doesn't the Merchant Mail icon show up on G Suite?

If you are using G Suite and you have installed the Merchant Mail add-on but the icon does not show up in Gmail, then you may need to change your security settings using the steps below.

  1. Open the G Suite Admin Console.

  2. Open the menu (in the top left corner of the screen) and select "Apps".

  3. Now select "G Suite Marketplace apps" and click "Security" on the updated menu.

  4. One the resulting screen, click "Manage access to apps"

  5. Make sure that all users are allowed to install applications. Without this, G Suite simply does not show Gmail add-ons regardless of the user that originally installed the add-on.

    If you change this setting, then you may need to reload Gmail for the change to take effect. G Suite also states that sometimes it takes 24 hours for the change to take effect.
